Rachel Beenken grew up in the shadow of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, where her love for the outdoors was forged. In 2012, she moved to Minnesota to attend the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, and has lived there since. Currently, Rachel works as an artist for an embroidery design company in the Twin Cities.
Rachel's work is inspired by the natural world, storytelling, and quiet moments. Whether it is a narrative piece, a pattern, or a small spot illustration, she strives to create the same sense of wonder and adventure that the outdoors bring to her everyday. Rachel's work is often described as being whimsical and cozy.
Rachel's outside interests include various fiber-based crafts, folk art, and any good story.
